However, buying new project is much more complicated which are subject to HDB regulations, stamp duties, property taxes, bank loans, legal conveyance, payment commitment, coordination with developer etc., as it’s one of the biggest decisions to be made by individual buyers. Registration of Expression of Interest (EOI)  is necessary for all purchasers who wish to buy an residential project directly from developer. With such EOI form and relevant documents, developer will issue the official ticket to ballot and book an unit on launch day and/or Option to Purchase(OTP) in exchange of 5% booking fee after launch to the intended buyers.  EOI is mandatory but also non-obligatory for buyers. No financial punishment will be imposed to the applicants who subsequently decide not to make a purchase as long as you are not granted OTP by the developer.
